Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, detention centers, and client transport.

The position is located within the group for employee protection and client safety, which organizationally belongs to the section for individual safety, one of four sections within the unit for operational and security protection. The section for individual safety handles, among other things, the authority's employee protection, personnel security, certain client safety issues, the security handbook, and national coordination of the skin activity.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a specialist, you will work with the authority's employee protection, both preventively and operationally, and sometimes be on standby during daytime. You will also work with security issues concerning clients with special security or protection needs. You will establish various risk assessments, conduct training, participate in and to some extent lead projects within the department and with other departments. You will also collaborate extensively with employees and managers in the organization as well as with other authorities.

QUALIFICATIONS

In your work, you take responsibility, make correct assessments and priorities, and act in accordance with decisions made, goals, policies, and guidelines. You easily adapt to changing circumstances. Furthermore, you have the ability to remain calm, stable, and controlled in stressful or pressured situations.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Higher education or other training in combination with experience that Kriminalvården deems relevant
• Experience working within an authority
• Experience in security work
• Good experience in handling various data systems
• Driver's license B
• Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish

It is meritorious if you have:

• Post-secondary education in the field of security
• Training in risk assessments and/or risk analyses
• Experience in security work concerning individuals
• Experience in intelligence work
• Experience and understanding of the various parts of Kriminalvården's security work
• Experience of inter-agency collaboration at both national and local levels
• Good knowledge of structured/qualified risk assessments
• Good knowledge of information security
